They said that getting married on this once in a lifetime date is lucky... and I guess this was also part of what my sisters-in-law want out of this date...

10.10.10 equals Double Wedding for Magdaluyo sisters.

Acee's 1st candle at 5

Acee turned 5 years old yesterday...

It was at 6 o'clock when Acee woke up yesterday. Quite surprising since he usually wakes up last among the 4 of us (Acee, Allan, Elijah and me) which is normally past 7am. So I think he was quite excited to start his day. He went down and started his day by playing with their nanny, Ate Aileen. When I woke up and went down, her Lola Judith was already there and gave him a present. So that was his first birthday gift yesterday.

He was excited to go to school because there will be a short and simple celebration for him there together with his classmates. When Acee left, Allan and I rushed to Jollibee to buy their food. We arrived at CKLC before 10am. They were already in their respective places and tables were arranged the way they do when taking their snacks. We were also surprised to see Teacher Mely, the school directress inside the room. And so when we arrived, the celebration begins.

The kids sang a happy birthday song repeatedly until Acee was able to blow his candle. His wish..."I wish I will be a good boy!" Wow... I also wish that anak I said to myself... hehehe...
Several of his classmates brought a gift for Acee. I believe it's every kid's favorite part of their special day.

From my son's face, I saw that he was happy to spend this special day with his teachers and classmates. And while they were eating their snacks, Allan and I already left.

God Really Amazes Me...

Jun (my co-unit manager seated on my left) and I are having short chats once in a while to redirect our focus out of work. I guess this is one form of relaxation for us. Just last week, his youngest daughter (1 y/o) had a surgery at the Children's Hospital so he was out for 2 days. When he gets back to the office, he told me about the surgery, about other cases of children he saw at the hospital, and other stuffs. I remembered asking him how much hospital bill he was expecting. I believed he answered, "Approximately P50,000." That's already small compared to having the operation in a private hospital. When he was preparing all the necessary documents for release of her daughter, he mentioned about the professional fee of the surgeon being waived because the uncle of her wife knows the surgeon when he taught in university before. So that's a discount already for his daughter's operation expenses.

Yesterday, when we were about to go home he started the little chat with a statement...
"Na-ooverwhelm talaga ako sa mga nangyayari." He was referring to some instances relating to his daughter's operation.
So when I asked, "Bakit ano bang nangyari?" He started telling me about all professional fees of surgeon, perdiatrician, anesthesiologist were waived. And all other discounts given to them.
And then I interrupted and asked, "So, how much did you pay?"
"Baka di ka maniwala pag sinabi ko sayo yung binayaran ko?"
"Magkano nga? Wala pang P10,000?"
"Wala pa ngan P5,000 lahat-lahat!"
"Wow... grabe sobra-sobrang blessing naman yun! Pang-tithes mo lang yung hiningi ni Lord sa'yo." Jun smiled!

God truly provides even before we ask for it! He really amazes me sometimes with the stories of the people around me who experienced amazing things from Him. Jun is a Christian while I am a Catholic, but though we have different religion, we both agree how much God loves us and work in each one of us. Jun acknowledge the fact that God uses all the doctors and other people to show His love to Jun and his family. He is truly an amazing God and nothing can ever compare to Him!

Thank you Lord for using people close to me to re-affirm us of your love and how great and generous you are to all of us!

30 Seconds Speech of a CEO

A must be priorities in life...

(1) God
(2) Family
(3) Work

I recently heard this from a speaker in Christian Life Seminar (CLS) we have for CFC-FFL.

I agree and disagree. I agree that Family must be first over work. But somehow I disagree because I agree with what my husband says that God should never be one of our priorities but should always part of all our priorities. Does this sound weird? Well, I can't explain either but I still agree with him.

Then I came across this email sent by my sister this morning. "The shortest speech given by a CEO" as a subject. 30 seconds speech as the indicated in the mail. Interesting... what could he possibly tells us in a span of 30 seconds.

Amazing isn't it? Short and straight to the point. And the best part is ...what he said makes sense. So I thought I'd share it here. And I get to be reminded everytime I open my blog.

So whether your priorities in life now is of any order... we have the choice to re-arrange them and make sure that we put value on what we have to value the most. Its our life and our choice anyway.

General Motors Diet... effective or not?

I've first heard it in the pantry of the office. Apparently, several people are into DIET thing called the GENERAL MOTORS DIET. Curious as I am, I researched this thing in the net.

GENERAL MOTORS WEIGHT LOSS DIET (source : internet)
The following diet and health program was developed for the employees and the dependants of General Motors Inc. The program was developed in conjunction with the grant from the US Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration. It was first tried at the Johns Hopkins Research Centre and was approved for distribution by the Board of Directors of General Motors Corporation at a general meeting on August 15, 1995. General Motors Corporation wholly endorsed this program and is making it available to all employees and families. This program will be available at all General Motors Food service facilities.

It is the management’s intention to facilitate a welfare and fitness program for everyone. This program is designed for a target weight loss of 56 Kgs. per week. It will also improve your attitude and emotions because of its systematic cleansing effects. The effectiveness of this seven day plan is that the foods eaten burn more calories than they give to the body in caloric value. This plan can be used as often as you like to without any fear of complications. It is designed to flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being. After seven days you will begin to feel lighter by atleast 10 pounds. You will have an abundance of energy and an improved disposition.

During the first seven days you must drink 10 glasses of water each day.
DAY ONE
All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consists of all fruits you want. It is suggested you consume lost of watermelon and cantaloupe.

DAY TWO
All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the new and cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the account or type. Avoid oil and coconut while cooking vegetables. Have large boiled potato for breakfast.

DAY THREE
Any mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet and no potatoes today.

DAY FOUR
Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. You can also have I bowl of vegetables soup.

DAY FIVE
Today is a feast day. You will eat 1 cup of rice. You also have to eat six whole tomatoes and drink 12 glasses of water today to cleanse your system of the excess uric acid you will be producing.

DAY SIX
Today is another all vegetables day. You must eat 1 cup of rice today and eat all the vegetables you want cooked and uncooked to your hears content.
DAY SEVEN
Today your food intake will consist of 1 cup rice, fruit juice and the vegetables you care
to consume.
Tomorrow morning you will be five to eight kgs. lighter than 1 week ago. If you desire further weight loss, repeat the program again. Repeat the program as often as you like, however, it is suggested that you rest for three days before every repetition. You have your system under control now and it will thank you for all the purging and cleansing you just gave it. Even more than a diet program it is good to follow this diet once in a while to clean your digestive system and remove toxic substances that have a accumulated in the system.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
The most important element of the program is the 10 tall glasses of water a day. You can also flavour the water will some lemon to make the drink easier. While on the program, take only black coffee and never more than one teaspoon of oil. Preferably do not use oil because the high calorific content. No fruit juices before day seven. Here is what happens to you body while you are on this program and how and why it works.

Day 1: You are preparing your system for the upcoming program. Your only source of nutrition is fresh fruits. Fruits are nature’s perfect food. They provide everything you can possibly want to sustain life except total balance and variety.
Day 2: Starts with a fix complex carbohydrates in the form of a boiled potato. This is taken in the form of a boiled potato and taken in the morning to provide energy and balance. The rest of the day too consists of vegetables which are virtually calories free and provide essential nutrients and fibre.
Day 3: Eliminates the potato because you get your carbohydrates from fruits. Your system is now prepared to start burning excess pounds. You will have cravings, which should start to diminish by day four.
Day 4: Bananas and milk. You are in for a surprise. You probably will not be able to eat all the bananas allowed. But they are there fore the potassium you have lost and the sodium you may have missed the last three days. You will notice a definite loss of desire for sweets and you will be surprised at how easy this day will go.
Day 5: Rice and tomatoes. The rice is for the carbohydrates and the tomatoes are for the digestion and the fibre. Lots of water purifies your system. You should notice colourless urine today. Do not feel you have to eat one cup rice, you may eat less. But you may eat six tomatoes.
Day 6: It is similar to five. Vitamins and fibre from the vegetables and carbohydrates from the rice. By now your system is in a total weight loss inclination. There should be a noticeable difference in the way you look today compared to day one.
Day 7: You may celebrate with champagne. You may also have white wine instead of champagne, but in al practical programs, and in all surveys done to measure the success of the program, General Motors employees have always preferred champagne to white wine.
More than one cup of coffee with milk is especially forbidden. Milk and oil add empty calories to your diet. Avid coffee lovers can console themselves with black coffee. However, after the first week, it will help your digestion and set your stomach. The key think to remember is that if you are hungry at any time, then you are not following the diet correctly. Almost all people give up the diet when they are hungry because of dieting. The secret of this program is that you should never hungry. If it is a vegetable day, eat so much vegetables so that you are never hungry. If it is a fruits day, eat so much fruits that you are never hungry. You may be bored of eating vegetables all day, but you should not be hungry. You can take any amount of General Motors wonder soup on any day.
GENERAL MOTORS WONDER SOUP
The following soup is intended as a supplement to your diet. It can be eaten any time of the day in virtually unlimited quantities. You are encouraged to drink large quantities of this soup.
23 oz water
06 large onions
02 green peppers
03 whole tomatoes
1 cabbage
1 bunch celery add
herbs and seasoning as desired.
This program is highly recommended for women and men above 40 for whom excess weight is especially dangerous. Excess weight for women aggravates arthritis problems and leads to rapid joint decay. Pain and joint deterioration can be lessened by weight loss as weight loss removes the stress on the knee joint. Excess weight is the most critical factor in keeping good health and excess weight is responsible for the most problems including coronary diseases, heart problems, arthritis and cancer among other serious life threatening diseases. Most serious health problems can be avoided by the single function of maintaining an ideal weight. Daily mild exercise of 20 minutes is also essential. Do not tire yourself out, but being regular in your exercise and maintaining an ideal weight goes a long way in ensuring a happy, healthy and long life.
And so I have done some more research about its side effect. They say that for some, the side effect is hair loss... I don't see the connection of this diet with the hair. But well, if this is true, then it's scary. Also, there are some who opposes the many comments of its effectiveness... but what the heck? You cannot please everybody... Maybe I just have to do it and experience it myself and see if this really works. So when it's gotta be??? Tomorrow? Next week? Next Month? Aaahhh... i'll let you know in the future.
I became curious how this works for General Motors but I came across this article which spilled the truth about GM Diet. Read on...

Op-Ed Columnist
The General Motors Diet
By ROGER COHEN
(Few parts in the beginning of the article already ommitted...)

The diet I was on is called the General Motors diet. I have a friend in London who, as he puts it, “does a G.M.” a few times a year to stay in shape. I’ll ask him how he is and he’ll say: “Fine, yeah, doing a G.M., going well.”

He has found it an effective week-long diet, yielding a weight loss of 10 to 15 pounds. My own experience confirms this.

The diet, which can be easily downloaded from the Web, has some curious characteristics (for example, you begin Day Two with a baked potato). But by about Day Five you will notice that your body is geared to total weight loss.

The introduction to the diet says: “The following diet and health program was developed for employees and dependents of General Motors, Inc., and is intended for their exclusive use. The program was developed in conjunction with a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration. It was field tested at the Johns Hopkins Research Center and was approved for distribution by the Board of Directors, General Motors Corp., at a general meeting on August 15, 1985.”

I was intrigued by this. Why, I wondered, had G.M. not made more of its diet? Cars have not done wonders for the company of late. With some inventive marketing, couldn’t G.M. be the new Atkins or South Beach? For a company that’s slimming down, wouldn’t this be nice synergy?

So I called Tom Wilkinson, a G.M spokesman. He confessed he’d never heard of the diet, but was kind enough to do some research, going through all the board meetings from the 1980s.

“We’ve concluded it’s an urban myth,” he told me. “It’s a fairly unconventional diet, and in the 1980s G.M. was the most conventional of companies.”

Wilkinson had thought the diet might be linked to Jose Ignacio Lopez De Arriortua, an executive of Basque origin whose obsession with cost-cutting through a global supply chain earned him legendary status during a spell at G.M. as head of purchasing. Lopez was into fruit and lean meats and what Wilkinson called this “whole Samurai thing needed to keep up with all the 24-hour traveling of the global age.”

But this lead, too, yielded nothing. “Nobody here recalls anything about such a diet, and we have no idea how it got attached to G.M,” Wilkinson said. He noted that the number of G.M. employees in the United States had gone from 583,000 in 1986 to about 64,000 today. “That’s the real G.M. diet, an almost 90 percent loss.”

Downsizing is not that radical with the diet, but it is rapid. A first day of fruit, especially melon, is followed by a day of vegetables — quantity is immaterial. On the third day, it’s fruit and vegetables (but no potatoes).

Day Four brings you bananas (up to eight) and milk. On this day, you’re also encouraged to drink a vegetable soup (called “G.M.’s Wonder Soup”) that may be consumed any day if hunger pangs get severe. The fifth day is devoted to beef and tomatoes. Day Six: beef and vegetables. And you round things out with a day of brown rice, vegetables and fruit juice.

It’s a good diet, G.M. or no, but Wilkinson told me the company was too busy focusing on its “core mission” to embrace it. I lost 11 pounds in a week.

Close Encounter with Komodo Dragon

While in Taman Mini (Jakarta, Indonesia), we saw a Komodo Museum just when we were about to leave the place. Allan got so excited not minding his tired feet. Hendy, a friend oh him, asked if he wants to go inside and see the reptiles. Allan said, "Only if there is an alive KOMODO DRAGON inside." So Hendy went over the ticket counter to check on it. While Hendy is not in the car, Allan told me... "Sana wala.. sana wala.." Sana wala daw kasi wala na kami pambayad ng entrance. Hahahaha... Kakaloka talaga itong asawa ko. Ano ba talaga kuya???

Here comes Hendy and said. "They have an alive Komodo Dragon."
"So how much do we pay?" Asked Allan."
"RP 7.500" said Hendy.
Allan looked and me and asked, "Shall we go?"
Not wanting to disappoint his eagerness to see this animal that I've never heard of, I answered, "Let's go!"

Well, it turned out that I also enjoyed looking inside the Komodo Museum. Especially the Komodo Dragon. And spent just P45 each to see the place. Nice deal!

Inside this cage is the Komodo Dragon. Let's go!

Allan's close encounter with Komodo Dragon (18 years of age already).

Had a picture with the Komodo Dragon but my heart beat says... Tug-tug. Tug-tug!

Hendy pretends to be afraid of it. O come on Hendy, I know you are also afraid!

KOMODO DRAGON is the largest living species of lizards found in the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores and Gili Motang.

blog-blog-an nga lang ba?

I am really glad that I've been into blogging. As I've said in my very 1st blog... hindi talaga ko writer. Sabi nga pwede naman daw i-develop yun. Practice makes perfect di ba? Well, let's just wait and see if it works for me. "Lord, please help me!" Hahaha!

One good thing I like about this blogging activity is that I get to read stuffs & articles about the people that I've worked with before and should I say at the level of "ACQUAINTANCE" lang ang connection namin. Hindi man kami naging close while they were still here in HICAP, I now have a chance to know them thru their blogs.

Kung sino-sino sila, tignan niyo na lang sa list ng MY BLOG LIST ko.

Their works are inspiring, touching and motivating. It's as if they were born writers. Kakainggit!

In time, I hope I can find that talent to write blogs. As in blog talaga... hindi blog-blog-an lang!

Elijah turns 1

March 28, 2010

Our tabachingching turns 1 year old already. Thank you to Ninong Lloyd for the layout of Elijah's invitation and birthday tarp.

Party was held at VILLA CRISTINA RESORT, Silmer Subdivision, Binan, Laguna. Thanks to Ninong Kit for the venue!

Party was supposed to start by 930AM. But for some reasons, guests arrived almost at the same time which is 1030AM the earliest. Wow... talaga namang Filipino Time. Tsk.. Tsk.. Tsk..

So while waiting for the guests, we just had our picture taking first.

Good thing about having a party host is that they take care of everything, kids activity while waiting for the other guests to arrive, program execution and games facilitation.
See Elijah's attempt to do coloring. Akala mo marunong na siya! Hahaha!
"Tita Girlie (the party host), finish!"
In the mood for picture taking. I'm glad we had one before the party started.
There were fun games that I opted not to post photos since medyo hahaba na itong blog na ito.
What happened after the games and eating time is the BUBBLE ART SHOW! Well, it's our first time to see one.
Kuya Acee and buddy-buddy Mikel inside the big bubble.

The cake ceremony! Happy Birthday Elijah! Happy Birthday Elijah! Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday! Happy Birthday Elijah! Blow Elijah! Blow! Thank you Kuya Acee for helping!

And so the kiddie party ended and swimming party begins!
Party was fun and memorable!
Thanks to all those who came!

Proud of our Kuya Acee...

When Kuya Acee got a YELLOW star in his class on 1st Quarter of SY 2009-2010, we were very happy. Well, I know that he's very smart but I was not that confident that he will top his class.

2nd Quarter came and he still got a yellow star but this time together with another classmate of his who got a red star last quarter.

Can you guess what he got on the 3rd Quarter period?
Naaah?!?! Not a yellow star this time but a RED star. He was down to 2nd place. Like most parents would feel, we felt sad because he wasn't able to maintain the Top 1 spot. I remember when we got his 3rd Quarter Class Card, we asked his teacher if he's not being able to catch up with the lessons. Teacher said, "OK naman siya sa subjects niya Mommy. Yun nga lang, very talkative na siya ngayon. Kasi everytime we do seatworks. inuuna niya turuan yung katabi niya and he talks to his other classmates while doing seatwork kaya pag malapit na mag TIME IS UP... minamadali na niya yung gawa niya."

Hahaha! Ironic talaga... Acee was so quiet during his 1st few days/weeks in school. Minsan nga sabi ko sa sarili ko baka mailap si Acee sa tao at classmates niya. Aba ngayon naman... sumobra sa daldal! Funny talaga!

On their 4th Quarter exam, na-shock ako kasi COVER to COVER ang exam nila. Hala?!?!? When he showed us his exam papers after several days wala atang perfect score. So we did not expect anything sa 4th quarter.

But surprisingly, Acee got the 1st Honor Medal last March 27, 2010 for Nursery-Faith class. When his dad went up on stage to pin his medal, he looked at me and gave me a THUMBS UP sign. Boy, I was so proud of him!

Thanks to teacher Tere for her patience to all Nursery students!

Thanks to teacher Mely (school directress) for always guiding our kids in CKLC!

Thanks to God for giving us Acee and Elijah!

Congratulations Kuya Acee! We love you! We are so proud of you!
GOOD JOB!

Who's not afraid of CHANGE?

For 3 days now, I am enjoying the book of Bo Sanchez entitled DON'T WORRY, BE HAPPY. Last night was extraordinary because I came across a section which struck me. It's about CHANGE. Yes, Change.

Well, who is not afraid of change? It's choosing between TRIED and TESTED vs. YOU DON'T KNOW YET WHAT'S IN STORE FOR YOU. Everytime I feel bored or tired of my normal routine here at the office, I always end up thinking "Mag resign kaya ako?" Believe me, I have thought of this a hundered times already but at the end of the day, it does not happen. Why? Maybe because I fear change. And this article opened my eyes that I don't have to fear change. To go for something that you really desire and want. To follow your dream.

Ooops! It's not what you're thinking. I am not going to resign yet. Not for now!

The Stream and the Wind

One day, the Stream stared at the desert -- and sighed a deep sigh.
He knew he was stuck. How could he cross this giant desert?
So the stream talked to the Wind.
"Mr. Wind, I need your advice. I want to cross this gigantic desert. But if I throw myself to it, the sand will absorb me and I will be no more..."
"That is true," the Wind thought deeply.
"So what should I do? You see I have a dream. I want to grow. I want more fish to make their home in me. I want more trees to plant their roots on my shoulders. I want happy families to have picnics on my banks, I want to bless the world with great love."
The Wind smiled, "I can help you. I can absorb you and carry you through this desert."
The Stream was stunned. He said, "Isn't it terryfying? What does that mean that you will absorb me?"
"That means that you'll become a cloud and I'll carry you to the other side of the desert. Once there, you'll become rain and you can become a stream again."
"I'll change my form? I'll no longer be me?"

"Mr. Stream, you have three choices. Your first choice is to give up your dream and stay where you are."
The Stream said, "Out of the question. My dream of love pushes me to grow."
"Your second choice," said the Wind, "is to cross the desert without changing anything. To dream and yet to prevent the dream from changing you."
"And what is my third choice?"
"To dream and embrace change," the Wind smiled.
"Carry me, Mr. Wind. I'm ready!" the Stream laughed.

Immediately, the Wind rushed down and blew hard on the Stream. Bits and pieces of the Stream began to swirl upwards. It was terrifying. Chaos ruled!
For a moment, the Stream was gripped by the clutches of fear again.
So the Wind shouted through the chaos, "Who are you? You're not a Stream. You're Water! Your essence is not your form. When you know who you really are, you can be comfortable amidst the chaos. Because deep within you, you know that nothing will ever change."
Water said, "But I am still afraid!"
"Love who you are and love your dream. Love the fish who will live in you, the trees who will be planted on your shoulders, and the families who will have picnics on your banks. And love will push all your fear away."
Finally, at the other side of the desert, the falling rain collected itself into a Stream again. When he was complete, he said, "Mr. Wind, I don't know how to thank you. You changed me."
The Wind smiled, "No, my friend. Only love can change you."

And love may grow for all we know...

While driving to work today, I heard this song that reminded me of my youth.
This is one of my favorite love songs that I've been dreaming to have as a theme
song before since I am a hopeless romantic.

FOR ALL WE KNOW

Love, look at the two of us
Strangers in many ways
We've got a lifetime to share
So much to say
And as we go
From day to day
I'll feel you close to me
But time alone will tell
Let's take a lifetime to say
"I knew you well"
For only time will tell us so

And love may grow
For all we know.

Love, look at the two of us
Strangers in many ways
Let's take a lifetime to say
"I knew you well"
For only time will tell us so
And love may grow

For all we know.

Just sharing! =)

Ganun pala ang feeling?!?!

Uso na daw ngayon ang instant photo print as souvenir sa mga gatherings at events. So while preparing for the Grand Alumni Homecoming ng CSA Binan, I did some research sa internet and found this one photobooth website. Well, I must admit madami ang kumukuha ng services nila kasi ang daming nakapost sa Gallery section ng website nila. Naisip ko nung una... GASTOS lang to eh... Tight budget nga kami di ba? Pero sa kabilang banda, naisip ko din na tiyak na "PAPATOK" ito sa mga a-attend ng homecoming. So I immediately proposed and discussed with the committee and aba mas na-excite pa sila.

So sige... kahit tight budget... GO! GO! GO! Mag off-set na lang sa ibang budget.

True enough, BLOCKBUSTER ang photobooth. Everyone is really waiting for their turns to have their solo and barkada picture taking.

Towards the end of our event... "Kaye, magda-download na daw sila ng pcitures sa DVD. Get the officers and let's have our pictures taken." Yan ang order ni Madame President sa akin. Pero sa isip ko... "Aba teka! Hindi pa kami nagpapa-picture ng asawa ko. Asan na ba yun?" Sabay tanaw sa kung saan-saang sulok ng audigym. At kahit busy siya, hinila ko siya papunta sa photobooth just to experience this for the first time.

First time ko magpap-picture sa photobooth. Ganun pala ang feeling? Parang walang nanunuod sa inyo kapag nasa harap ka na ng camera kahit ang daming tao sa tabi-tabi. Ang iniisip ko lang eh kung ano ba ang susunod na POSE ko? Hahaha... Praning!

So in short, nag-ENJOY ako sa photobooth na yun nung gabing yun. Kahit panandalian lang. Aliw talaga!

Di ba obvious sa mga pictures namin?
Smile!

The BOYS in my life!

I am the only rose among the thorns;
I am surrounded by the opposite sex;
I am bugged by the different sound of
snores at night;
But I am well loved by all the BOYS in my life.
Meet the boys in my life...
Allan Paul, Alaine Carlo and Elijah Angelo.
And I thank the Lord everyday for bringing them to my life!

A wake-up call...

This blog was written way back June 8, 2009. I kept in the draft section of my mailbox.

Part of the wedding reception program is the giving of messages/advises of some very close friends and selected principal sponsors of the bride and groom. The wedding I attended yesterday was no exception on that part of the program but amazingly this is one out of the many weddings (one of which is my own wedding of course) that I have attended where I was able to give my full attention to the speeches given by the selected Ninong and Ninang.

"Do not go to bed angry 'coz you'll never know what will happen the next day." ---> Ninong
Easier said than done but I guess what's important is that don't go to sleep with a heavy heart. Conflicts and misunderstandings are part of our daily life. I am not the kind of person who would easily confront the person and say a lot of things over the conflict we had. It's just not my style. Yes... I getmad also but I just can't talk when I am mad or hurt. It's hard to find the words to say what I really feel and how to say it in a nice way. My healing process.... is to cry and pray. After pouring my heart out to the Lord, I feel so much better and that's when I am able to sleep.

"Bride, groom and God....the only LOVE TRIANGLE that WORKS." ---> Ninang
True enough, LOVE TRIANGLE never works for mere human beings. It only complicate the marriage... the relationship. But GOD as part of our love triangle... well there's simply MAGIC on it. As I recall in a song, LOVE moves in mysterious ways... in this case, it's... GOD moves in mysterious ways.

I now realize that attending weddings could become a wake up call to married couples. The messages that are intended for the newly wed couples could also strike you when you least expect it.

My very first blog-buster experience!

I was inspired by two people to do blogs... LLOYD S. - my kumpare, my jogging partner (kahit isang beses pa lang ata kami natuloy mag jogging.. hehehe), a good friend, listener & magician - and EDDIE O. - a friend and an amazing writer! Miss na kita Sir Edong!

Well, I know I am not good at this kind of thing but it will be worth a try. Now that I am into this, I've been thinking... " What should I write here?" Sabi nga ni kumpareng Lloyd, just write whatever you want or whatever you feel like sharing when you feel like writing. Hmmm... alam ko na!

I am a mother of two smart and handsome boys. Syempre mana sa mommy! O blog ko 'to walang kokontra! Mommy look-a-like nga daw as many of my friends say. Naalala ko lang the first time I gave birth. I was brought to the hospital at around 9pm of Sep. 21, 2005 because my water bag broke. When it broke, I literally heard a "plop" sound. As in literal na may pumutok yung sound na narinig ko. So while my husband was taking a night bath, I told him that we need to go to the hospital na. When we arrived at the hospital, I didn't know what to expect. I had no contraction or whatever that may indicate I am to delivery our very first angel. As calm as I can be, I waited for my OB's instruction to ER's resident doctor. Pero sa totoo lang, nanginginig ang buong katawan ko sa kaba dahil sa alam kong malapit ko na maranasan yung sinsabi nilang mahirap at masakit na proseso ng panganganak. Waaah! Ayoko na!

So after several interviews, IE and tests, I finally heard the attending doctor said to the nurses, i-ready na si Misis sa pagpasok sa delivery room (DR). Oh no! Naku Lord! This is it!

At the delivery room...

May interviews pa din pagdating ko sa DR. Since I don't feel any pains yet, mega chika pa ang lola mo! Inaalam ko pa sa mga attending nurses dun how hard it is to have a delivery. Ultimo ata private lives ng mga staffs dun natanong ko na at nai-chika na nila sa akin. After several hours, ayan na may contractions na ako. Turok dito... turok dun! Suka dito... suka dun! BP dito! Check sa tyan! IE ng IE! Sari-sari na ginagawa nila. Naku.. masakit ang buong proseso ng labor pains. You cannot do anything but wait... Haay naku...
