1st Beach Wedding Experience Part 1

It will be my first time to attend a beach wedding on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at DOS PALMAS, Palawan. Since its first time, i want to share my experience.

Feb. 10, 2011. 8AM Flight via PR 195.

We got to the airport at 7:10am already. Parking lot in Terminal 2 was full. ANONG MERON? tanong ni Allan. Grabe, kakaiba nga naman kasi overflowing talaga ang sasakyan.

And so we have to go back to Park N' Fly. The bad thing is... they charge PHP 381/day. Whoah!!! Mataas pa to sa minimum wage ah? Over! Over! Comment ni Allan... "CHARGE TO EXPERIENCE!"

We we reach the boarding area, it was already 7:30am. Expecting to board the plane at 8:00AM. Pero 8:10AM na nakaupo pa din kami sa boarding area. Hirit ni Allan, "WHAT'S NEW???" Haha... Ang daming words for the day. At day 1 pa lang... take note!

So finally, we were able to settle down inside the plane at around 8:35am and left Manila at 8:45am. Boy, that was 45 mins. late from the original schedule. Naku, naiimbiyerna na si Allan. Kaye to the rescue..."Ok! Calm down! Don't stress yourself!" Picture! Picture na lang tayo! Hahaha!

OK ba sa pics? Wala tayong magagawa eh.. sabi nga ni Allan Lopez sa Facebook comment niya sa status ko (Yup, Allan din?) "Eh kaya nga PAL eh, PALaging late!" Hahaha! You made me smile Allan Lopez! Thanks for that!

At exactly 10 mins. before 10AM, Welcome to Puerto Princesa Airport na kami. Sa wakas!

They said that getting married on this once in a lifetime date is lucky... and I guess this was also part of what my sisters-in-law want out of this date...

Well, lucky or not... it's the blessing from the Lord that counts...

Acee's 1st candle at 5

Acee turned 5 years old yesterday...

It was at 6 o'clock when Acee woke up yesterday. Quite surprising since he usually wakes up last among the 4 of us (Acee, Allan, Elijah and me) which is normally past 7am. So I think he was quite excited to start his day. He went down and started his day by playing with their nanny, Ate Aileen. When I woke up and went down, her Lola Judith was already there and gave him a present. So that was his first birthday gift yesterday.

He was excited to go to school because there will be a short and simple celebration for him there together with his classmates. When Acee left, Allan and I rushed to Jollibee to buy their food. We arrived at CKLC before 10am. They were already in their respective places and tables were arranged the way they do when taking their snacks. We were also surprised to see Teacher Mely, the school directress inside the room. And so when we arrived, the celebration begins.

The kids sang a happy birthday song repeatedly until Acee was able to blow his candle. His wish..."I wish I will be a good boy!" Wow... I also wish that anak I said to myself... hehehe...

Several of his classmates brought a gift for Acee. I believe it's every kid's favorite part of their special day.

From my son's face, I saw that he was happy to spend this special day with his teachers and classmates. And while they were eating their snacks, Allan and I already left.

God Really Amazes Me...

Jun (my co-unit manager seated on my left) and I are having short chats once in a while to redirect our focus out of work. I guess this is one form of relaxation for us. Just last week, his youngest daughter (1 y/o) had a surgery at the Children's Hospital so he was out for 2 days. When he gets back to the office, he told me about the surgery, about other cases of children he saw at the hospital, and other stuffs. I remembered asking him how much hospital bill he was expecting. I believed he answered, "Approximately P50,000." That's already small compared to having the operation in a private hospital. When he was preparing all the necessary documents for release of her daughter, he mentioned about the professional fee of the surgeon being waived because the uncle of her wife knows the surgeon when he taught in university before. So that's a discount already for his daughter's operation expenses.

Yesterday, when we were about to go home he started the little chat with a statement...
"Na-ooverwhelm talaga ako sa mga nangyayari." He was referring to some instances relating to his daughter's operation.
So when I asked, "Bakit ano bang nangyari?" He started telling me about all professional fees of surgeon, perdiatrician, anesthesiologist were waived. And all other discounts given to them.
And then I interrupted and asked, "So, how much did you pay?"
"Baka di ka maniwala pag sinabi ko sayo yung binayaran ko?"
"Magkano nga? Wala pang P10,000?"
"Wala pa ngan P5,000 lahat-lahat!"
"Wow... grabe sobra-sobrang blessing naman yun! Pang-tithes mo lang yung hiningi ni Lord sa'yo." Jun smiled!

God truly provides even before we ask for it! He really amazes me sometimes with the stories of the people around me who experienced amazing things from Him. Jun is a Christian while I am a Catholic, but though we have different religion, we both agree how much God loves us and work in each one of us. Jun acknowledge the fact that God uses all the doctors and other people to show His love to Jun and his family. He is truly an amazing God and nothing can ever compare to Him!

Thank you Lord for using people close to me to re-affirm us of your love and how great and generous you are to all of us!

So proud of them... Ang popogi... mana kay Mommy. hahaha!
